 Hello one and all! I'm back with my Fifth post. This post will tell you guys about the temples in which the village rituals are performed in the Carambolim village. Goa is blessed with number of temples which has its own history and significance. So here are some names of the temples of the Carambolim village. SHREE KAMLAVATI RAVALNATH PANCHAYATAN DEVASTHAN Shree Kamlavati Ravalnath Panchayatan Devasthan temple is located in Saklem Bhat Carambolim Tiswadi Goa.  Hello guys! I am here with my Fourth post. In this post I will let you know about the cultural activities that are practiced by the people of Carambolim village. Goa is amazingly blessed with very interesting and impressive cultural activities including their rituals and folklores. So here are some cultural activities that are still being practiced in the village of Carambolim. SHIGMO  Shigmo or Shishiritsava is a spring festival celebrated in Goa, where it is one of the major festivals of Hindu community. There are two variants of Shigmo festival that is Dhakto Shigmo (small Shigmo) and Vadlo Shigmo (big Shigmo). Dhakto Shigmo is generally celebrated in the rural areas while Vadlo Shigmo is celebrated in urban areas.  It begins some five days before the full moon day of the Indian lunar month of Phalguna and ends on the full moon day.  Hello Everyone! I'm here again with my Third amazing and interesting post. This post will tell you about the folk dances that are practiced in the Carambolim village. Goan culture is blessed with an amazing folk forms and dances. So here are some folk form that are performed in the the village till today. DHALO   The Folk form of Goa which is Dhalo is performed in the village of Carambolim till today. It is one of the most popular rural dance of Goa. DHALO is performed by women folk on the moonlight night of the Hindu 'Pausha' month. This dance is performed during the week-long festivities are held at night time. The main deities propitiated on the occasion are the Mother Earth and Sylvan deity, who are supposed to protect their households. The songs are in Konkani and Marathi. I'm back here with my Second post.  This post will tell you about the Demographic features of the Carambolim village.   Carambolim Village is a small village located in Tiswadi Taluka of North Goa District. The total number of residing families are 1195. The village of Carambolim has the population of 5179 of which 2518 are males while 2661 are females as per the reports of per population census 2011. In the village the population of childrens with age 0-6 years is 491 which makes up 9.48% of total population of the village. Average sex ratio of Carambolim village is 1057 which is higher than Goa's state average of 973. Child sex ratio in the Carambolim as per the census is 867, that is lower than Goa's average of 942. Carambolim Village has lower literacy rate as compared to Goa. In 2011, literacy rate of Carambolim village was 87.01% compared to 88.70% of Goa. So in this post I'm going to introduce the village of Carambolim and it's geographical features location of the Carambolim village. Carambolim is also known as Karmali or Kormbolle for the locals is a small village in Goa that is situated at about 12kms from Panjim in the Tiswadi Taluka. It is the first village one comes across on one's way from Velha Goa. It is located 14km towards East from district headquarters Panjim, 2km from Tiswadi and 14km from State capital Panjim. The village is in the border of the North Goa District and South Goa District. In South Goa District, Mormugao is West towards this place.
